Hello peregrines!
After a tough year, the Camino has called
Up until last week, I was clueless to the wave of fantastic people and information available - this forum is simply fantastic, thank you so much to all the ones who spend their time answering the same questions over and over again!
I have about 10-11 days available from the second half of March until about Holy Saturday.
I have fallen in love with Camino del Norte (I love the coast), but I'm not sure if I do a portion of it and a) start at Irun, and end where I end; or b) Start 10 days from Santiago, to end in Santiago.
Since looking at the amazing information you have here (again, thank you!) I can see that for that amount of time the Camino Primitivo and Invierno are also suggestions offered.
I deprioritised the Portugues, because I don't feel like it's the one for me right now.
Mostly, I'd love to know more from people's decision making process, as there might be considerations I haven't necessarily thought about because this is my first pilgrimage. Anyone who's done their 1st Camino that didn't end in Santiago? Does your opinion change because I'll be doing the Camino during Lent - Easter?
A bit about me: I love hiking - I'm comfortable with 15k-22k day walks, but I've never done the "full-on backpacking" part (the starting place was always from where I was staying).
My Camino has "already started" in the way that I'm quite proud of being able to take a longer break - it hasn't happened for about 10 years!
From where I'm standing, it feels like this would be more of an introspective pilgrimage, but I'm also prepared to listen if the Camino decides otherwise
Thank you so much!
