I had a similar case in my first camino. Our feet grows during long distance walking. Most probably her foot got large and swollen. Stop by at the next shoe store and get a shoe at least 2 size larger than her feet. If this doesn’t help, she should go see a doctor.
Hi @MariaSP and @Pelegrin
Just put chopped tomatoes/tomato sofrito if you want and leave it out if you don't like it. As you know, a bit of sofrito does not change the taste of the empanada, it just makes the filling more juicy and adds a bit of umami. The tomato will cook all at the end so...
Actually you are right! I just forgot to add the tomato in the recipe.. Can also replace with tomato paste diluted with water. I edited it now - thanks for mentioning :)
I'm a bit depressed in general due to this stupid covid. Most of my business deals got cancelled this year, I got fat during the quarantine, my health level seems to be deteriorating every year. Hubby got disc hernia from sitting too long doing home office, so with the back pain he is in a...
Wow i’m shocked to hear you say you find it difficult to find fresh milk in Europe! Switzerland, France, Italy, Holland, Denmark, all these countries are known for their highest milk quality and thus excellent cheese. Not sure which countries in Europe you are talking about not being able to...
Hi!
I did go on the camino and enjoyed it very much. I completed the Camino Portiguese on the coast. However i realized i am starting to feel like this, not wanting to carry out things just before it‘s time to do it. Same with vacation. I don‘t know if i‘m getting lazy or just getting too...
So here's an update:
Just booked my flight to Porto! I leave in two days. All of your posts encouraged me to get moving.
Last minute flight was quite expensive, but I thought Porto route is better than the Geneva-Le Puy because there are many cafes on the way to take frequent breaks. And I saw...
Oh my god you are all so lovely and kind to take your time to share your thoughts about this post! I can’t thank you all enough for your cheerful words and wise advices. I send you all a virtual hug from Zurich, Switzerland.
Thanks everyone. I‘m surprised that many of you are recommending primitivo. Why? Because the temperature is cooler there? I read that it is the most challenging camino of all? Why oh why? 😭
Hi everyone!
I'd like to ask this question to pilgrims who have already done a camino.
Since the beginning of this year I had blocked two weeks of my calendar to do a 2 week camino this summer during July. The blocked date starts already next week but I have zero motivation and still haven't...
Thanks so much my lovely pilgrim friends! Really love and appreciate your comments. Thanks so much for sharing your thought. I think i’m leaning towards Porto because it’s cooler and there are more urban areas for taking breaks. I am (only) 40yrs old but rheumatoid arthritis is taking a toll on...
Hi pilgrim friends,
After my first pilgrimage Camino Frances last year, I blocked my calendar for late July-mid August this year to do a second camino. Since a while already I am not able to decide which one to do, either the Camino Porto or Geneva-Le Puy. Time-wise and language-wise I am...
Hola lovely pilgrims!
It has been exactly one month since I got back from the Camino (SJPdP - Santiago). It was such an amazing experience mentally and physically. I returned with more strength, energy, lots of gratitude and quite some significant learnings for my life.
This forum and the...
I‘m happy to hear that you enjoyed the trip on your own! And i have the same opinion like you - it‘s really OK if two people as a couple like different things and have different hobbies as long as you love and accept each other the way they are. Wish you happiness always!
Hi everyone! I’m currently on the camino and soon will be hitting the meseta. What worries me is that on stage 17 between Carrión - Terradillos there is a 17.2km stretch without any bars or bathroom. (mobile cafe only operates in the summer)
During the camino so far (the last two weeks) many...
