The most dangerous place I ever had to deal with was a busy street crossing in the center of the town of Virgen del Camino, back in 2015 --- where I stupidly stumbled over my own feet, fell, and badly broke my right hand! (Bone sticking out, and all that.... I took a picture of my rather gory...
I also walked the Camino Aragones, starting at Lourdes, in 2018.... .
For reasons sufficient unto me I decided to skip that final push up to the Somport Pass. There was a bus from Urdos departing around 9:00 AM, passing first through Canfranc Estacion and then looping up and back to Somport...
The biggest Tienda China I ever ran across was in Santiago de Compostela itself! It's close to, but not in, the Casco Viejo -- its just past the Alameda Park and near the Plaza Roxa..... Had fun buying new post-Camino underwear there in June 2022 . (Underwear made in China, it goes without saying.)
My least loved sections? Probably Santo Domingo de la Calzada to Burgos, and Leon to Astorga..
And as for those stages west of Sarria? Not my favorites by any means -- I'm a Meseta man! -- but if ya ain't walked Sarria to SdeC at least once, ya ain't walked the Camino!
When I arrived at the Leon bus station in late October 2023 I discovered that the comfy old Terminal building was closed -- under total reconstruction. People were milling about amongst the external bus-stop slots hoping to make their connections. Much confusion. Hope things are better now.
