none yet, hopefully soon! (2018)
Hello from Canada! We are two friends in our 60's; Margot and Tony.

We hope to arrive at Barajas Airport and clear customs before noon on the 16th (assuming el Camino provides...) and have researched various ways of travelling to Pamplona. Are there any other pilgrims arriving that day who would like to ride-share or have recommendations on the easiest/cheapest way for newbies? The Renfe/Atocha option looks good, but Atocha (and getting to Atocha) looks confusing and we wouldn't want to miss the fast train. Blablacars suggests only contacting the site a couple of days in advance which leaves us hanging a bit. The bus from the airport is a long ride after a long (probably sleepless) flight, but still an option.

Similarly, are there any pilgrims who would like to ride-share from Pamplona to SJPP on the 17th, or is the noon bus the best option? My email address is anthpem@hotmail.com if anyone would like to ride-share.

Ivor, what a great site and forum you have here!

Thanks so much!

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.

Easy to get to Atocha. There is an Airport Express bus that leaves from each terminal that will take you there for 5 euros each.

If you arrive in Terminal 4, there is a direct train to Atocha that leaves from a Cercanias station in the lowest level of the terminal.

There are both very fast (about 30 minutes) but if you are really pressed for time, just take a cab.

You can also fly to Pamplona.

Very light, comfortable and compressible poncho. Specially designed for protection against water for any activity.

Our Atmospheric H30 poncho offers lightness and waterproofness. Easily compressible and made with our Waterproof fabric, its heat-sealed interior seams guarantee its waterproofness. Includes carrying bag.
