I like your idea. Please give the names (towns) of your non-Brierly stops. Thanks in advance.
Please watch a video on how to use the poles correctly. Your hands should never go numb because you do not grip the poles with your hands. I was amazed that it was the straps that do the work, not the gripping of the hands. Buen Camino.
Thanks for the language lesson. Having walked 4 caminos, I had only learned "recto" as straight (ahead). I wonder how "derecho" and "recto" became the same (straight). Buen camino.
I have been thinking about the Le Puy route for mid September this year. Unfortunately, a medical issue came up. The earliest that I can start is mid October instead. I thought that this would be too late for the Le Puy, starting mid October and ending in SJPdP toward the last week of...
Please, this is not a case of "We all make mistakes." They are/were pilgrims who should know better than risking their lives and others'. The information and facts stared them in the face when "they made a mistake." OTOH, it's heart warming to read the posts about the bombeiros. No longer unsung...
Thank you Laurie. I'm 68 y/o and I do appreciate your information. I will take the Lisbon walking tour that you had previously posted on the forum. You had also been a great help in my previous caminos, including the VdLP. Obrigado e Bom Caminho! Hieu Dovan
After walking the CF, I plan to go to Lisbon for a couple of days the second week of May. I will fly out of Lisbon to LAX. Any recommendations for albergues/hostels and what to do for a couple of days? Thanks in advance.
Kim, there are 3 of us taking the Express Bouricot taxi service from Biarritz to SJPdP at 11 am on March 31. I believe there's also 1 person taking the Express Bouricot from Biarritz to SJPdP at 1 pm on the same day at the airport. Looking forward to seeing you at Beilari on March 31 and...
For a second, I thought your initials were JFK : )
I will be flying into Paris 10 am, Mar 30. I plan to train to Bayonne and spend the night. I will book with Express Bourricot to go to SJPdP the next day, Mar 31. I will stay at Beilari in SJPdP before starting the Camino on April 1.
FYI...
Hola Joe,
I am flying into CDG Sunday, March 30, landing around 10 am. I was going to take the train to Bayonne. However, after seeing your post, I'm considering flying to Biarritz. What is the cost and how easy is it to buy the ticket after I have landed?
Ultreya!
Hieu
Hi Ana,
What airlines or what website did you use to buy your tickets? Your tickets are very inexpensive. I also fly out of LAX. I was going to fly to Madrid. But after seeing your tickets, I'd like to look into LAX-Paris and Lisbon - LAX. Thanks.
Buen camino!
I wish the authors of these threads would write some kind of follow-up for those who had responded. I don't like dangling conversations : )
Cristina, in case you run across these responses, how was your camino?
I've read other articles by "hard core" hikers. This is another perspective which is more consonant with my experience. I'm grateful to have the Caminos to walk. I've walked the CF and the VdLP. I plan to walk again next year.

Hélène, thank you so much for your continuing effort in updating the list. I had walked the CF in 2012 and the VdLP 2014. I was going to walk the CP for my next camino. However, I chanced upon this thread and will probably walk the CF again. Without this kind of list, I have had communal...
Interesting thread. The posts remind me of my caminos. I ran across all kinds of folks. However, I tended to socialize with those who made my walk a pleasant and enjoyable learning experience.
