...and it was great because it took me to a lot of out-of-the-way parts of the casco histórico.
As for walking from Salamanca, I think the Torres/Geira is a great idea. I walked starting on September 8 (holidays that week in Salamanca, which I really enjoyed!). My blog is here if you’re...
Their website has been down for a couple of weeks. I was hoping to use email or WhatsApp because my Spanish is pretty basic. Guess I’ll have to muddle through. 😅
I just stayed in La Torre a few weeks ago, and it’s fine, clean and basic. They do not use WhatsApp, so you have to call them on the phone. If you want a room with a bath, make sure to say so. Otherwise, they may assume that as a Pilgrim, you just want the cheapest option, and they have several...
Sorry for what have happened Robin. Very sad and unfortunate I know.
Similar sad and ugly event happened to me almost two years at Torres del Rio in Hostal Rural La Pata de Oca. My son and I placed our rucksacks early morning of our departure at the designated place for transport inside the...

That is impressive! ai am 66 and about to do my first. I have a month of walking I would like to do...what route would you recommend for that time? I don't think Ihave enought time for
the Norte.
...or heat stress (trust me, I'm Australian). For those behind me, please note the trail in this section is very exposed without much shade. Dress for conditions and take lots of water. The last place to refill is at the cemetery just past Torres del Rio.
Walking a short day to Logrono tomorrow.
