As long as you have 2 stamps per day after you leave Sarria, you will be fine. You are still 100+ km out of Santiago and you need 2 stamps per day in that last 100 km. If you are taking rest days, simply state that if you are asked at the pilgrim office.
Or, you can do what I do and go somewhere in town to have it printed. They used to print tickets at Pilgrim House, I believe. Technology is great until it isn't. Call me a Luddite, but I prefer paper.
Air travel just isn't fun like it was when I was a kid... oh well, it will make a good story. Hope things start moving along soon and you don't miss connections or reservations!
Tickets will be available about a month or so out. As @jcat says, the schedules don't change too dramatically so pick a day next week to get the approximately times.
Got a notification from my Phone that we started our first Camino 8 years ago today...
We accidently left our phone charger and Kindle charger at Orrison along with our euro plug adapter and walked the first 3 days to Pamplona with essentially no electronics, so it can be done! As new pilgrims...
It is for a Wool dress. I can't tell if you are allowed to wash it. I have one of this brand I took on the Camino last winter along with wool leggings for evening clothes and also slept in my dress several nights as a nightgown. Thinking about it for next winter when I will be in Italy and Spain...
Many places will take a credit card now in Spain so it may be less critical to have cash when you land. Now, I just bring euros from my previous trips with me, but in the past I just went to an ATM when I landed.
The Schwab card mentioned is a good deal, but you need to think ahead and do that...
This makes sense to me. The heiress to the Gortex empire is a very conservative congresswoman from our state of Wyoming where it is high elevation and the climate is very dry...
Honestly though, we had gortex overcoats in the military in the early 2000's and they worked great for cold and snow.
There will be multiple stores in many towns. Ask for a "chino" store. Run by different families usually from Asia. Usually called something like Asia Bazzar or Oriental Bazaar or similar.
Thanks @Rold Gold! May your Camino progress without much worry. Let us know if we can help from afar. We don't usually book either, and stay in places that don't accept reservations. its nice to hear a new pilgrim is doing OK with that similar approach.
We order the Frakta IKEA bags from Amazon 3 per pack. Excellent for all kinds of things (fishing gear, clothes or shoe storage, check your backpacks on a plane, moving household, etc.)
