Hello Ian.
I use to live in Peterborough for over three years and I had no idea there was any pilgrims there. After my Camino in 2008 I left UK and came back to Poland.
Anyways. I wish all Peterboroug Pilgrims a peaceful and happy Christmas.
We had an awful experience staying at Rabe last year. I just wonder why they still keep that albergue on their list here: http://www.caminosantiagoburgos.com/cam ... ues.php#14 .
There is a charming B&B that you could stay in if you arrive late - the owner will probably offer to collect you from the station. tim@errecaldia.com http://www.errecaldia.com/
Yes- I confirm! Tim is a great person and he can pick you up from the station whenever you wish (just let him know...
We did it in 26 walking days earlier this year. If I had a chance to walk Camino Francees again- I would like to take as many days to complete it as possible. My advice is- dont rush to Santiago and take your time on the route. Take detours if possible and let other people to overtake;)
Buen Camino!
Sil.
We have passed Pamplona today (stayed at Arre overnight). Today was the first day, when we have walked with the crowds. There was hundreds of people, that you could see on the path. We stopped for our breakfast just outside Cizur Menor, and over 15 minutes we were on the side of the path-...
No Sil. Actually we are leaving in 5 weeks time on 18th of August.
Before that (two weeks from now) we are moving house to Yorkshire, so coast-to-coast will be our next holiday challenge I suppose.
Thanks for all your help- I will keep you updated from the road.
Kuba.
Maggee. We have decided to stay there as well. Tim have offered to pick us up from the bus station at 10.20pm, even when no other albergues, hotels or b&b's would allow us to get in so late at night.
Of course the price isn't compareable with albergues, but you get a comfy bed, shower and good...
Unfortunatelly, there is a chance, that nobody will do anything about graffiti. You get all sorts of people walking/riding camino, and it will always be a problem. Some kind of solution could be a special place in every albergue, where graffiti makers could express themeselves. I know, that we...
You shoud know my opinion on carrying bags by someone else by now;)) But surely- we will try to find some time (probably spring next year) to walk that way. This years camino will be our last holiday outside the UK for some time, as we are planning to go around the world in spring 2011 (need to...
Ok, now I'm really concerned about my web connection. Sil- your confaternity site never worked on my PC! It's always sending my request back as an error. Is anyone else have the same problem?
And jscho111- what kind of software you are using to edit your videos? Yhey are really great!
Sil- great idea! We are moving to Yorkshire this year, so we will be much closer to that walk. We have visited Robin Hoods Bay some time ago- and we loved it.
Here's a teaser:

Take care.

They say, that 18th of august is the best date Sil.
And by the way- if you get there on that 18th- I'll be there waiting for a foot massage;)
No, seriously- are you planning any walking soon?
Take care.
Kuba.
I know, that our calendar is fully functional, but probably there's a lot of us not using it at all. So- there's my question. Is any one of You fellow members starting in SJPdP or Roscenvalles about mid august? We will start on 19th in St. Jean. See you there!
