Pilgrims credencial: Danish or Spanish...(?)

Annette

Member
I have done the camino 3 times already. Everytime I left Copenhagen as I lived in Denmark... When arriving in Samos I was mentioned as "Annette de Dinamarca", and in Santiago among the pilgrims arriving from Denmark.

This year when arrving in Santiago... I will be mentioned among the Spanish pilgrims and not the Danish, though I am Danish. I will not be Annette de Dinamarca - but "Annette de España "or "Annette de Barcelona". (I've been living in Spain for the past two years). This will be a new experience to this years (short) Camino

...I will pick up my credencial in the Cathedral of Barcelona. where the yellow arrows (las flechas amarillas) are painted on the pavement just outside the door :D

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
Annette- your website is simply great. I have to recommend it to my friends.
Have a great camino in September.

Annete, there's a long tradition from pilgrims who went to Santiago from Barcelona.

Very close to the Cathedral (I lived there till I was 10 years old) is the St James Square, a Very important place in Barcelona.

The yellow arrows go to Montserrat and from there continues by the Camino Catalan (Sta. Maria del Cami, La Panadella, Cervera, Tarrega, ...) very well marked by the Barcelona Association)

Who knows, when it will be possible, to walk the Camino Catalan ...

Buen Camino, Annete

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.
