It has been a while since I have read the Class of 2012 and am amazed, super amazed at how many people are going to the Camino this year. WOW! I hope everyone has their patch on their rucksack to identify yourself as being from this incredible forum.

AJ, I am planning on going Rome to Santiago as well. Another forum member is joining me and there may be a 3rd. We are still debating what month to start. When will you be starting and when do you hope to finish?

Have all of you posted on the pilgirm calendar here? If not, at the bottom of this page, for example you will see a link for it. Post your camino and see who else will be around. Don't forget to say which Camino you are doing.

I just finished the NOrte route and I assure you it was as safe as any other. Woman alone is not an issue. I met other women walking alone as well. Many. There were more pilgrims than I expected and you will be walking a busier month as well. Your lack of Spanish should not be an issue...
Darn!! I am going early May... I would camp with ya!
Not sure about the Norte, since it will be my first time on it, but for sure along the Via de la Plata there were perfect areas for it. Hope there will be on the Norte for you.

Looking at the calendar there are 7 pilgrims starting in SJPP the last 3 days of April just from this forum alone, including you, Padraic,. You will enjoy it so much!
Circle up!

When I saw some postings from people walking around the area of Cahors I wanted to tell you about this.
I just found this article about canoeing in the area around Cahors, seeing pre-historical caves and it seemed like a nice side-trip for anyone walking in that area and taking advantage of...
So hard to tell you what to do, for each part of the walk is so special. After Leon, the mountains start back up and it is so glorious. Maybe instead of meeting up in Madrid he can join you wherever you are at or and then see how far you get? You can always finish it some other time. Many...

Congratulations, Melinda, you get to be hospitalera in a very popular albergue. I remember how wonderful their food smelled and wished I could have stayed there. But alas, all filled up. So remember, folks, make a reservation!

I thought I was going to be walking alone, but my niece, who has the same name as me, will be walking the first 2 weeks with me in May along the Camino del Norte. This is her first camino. After that I will be alone as I was on the Frances, where I would occasionally walk with someone and on...
I started the VIa from Sevilla on May 5 last year. It is a beautiful time to walk it. I will hopefully follow your travels through your blog. I have one half done as well with many pictures.

Hope you get your patch and wear it on your pack, so we can find each other. It is fun to connect with fellow forum pilgrims. Also don't forget to post your trip on the calendar here.
