The only danger we found was on day 1 where was a three step down, step along the sidewalk leaving the Se Catadral. I was incredibly excited on day one and after leaving the Catadral early morning and walking about 3 KM, I was looking around and enjoying everything, not paying attn and fell down...
Wife and I recently completed our Lisboa to SDC Camino Sept/Oct and we arrived in Lisboa, Walked to SDC then flew from SDC back to Lisboa. Our original flight booking was Charlotte to Lisboa and return. We made certain that we had enough time to make the Camino to SDC from Lisboa when we booked...
Thank you VN. Yes the Hospitalero volunteering will be amazing!!
I also did try the Loco2 site but that seemed to be beyond my school grade level as well :)
Guess I was born to be a bus rider..... :)
Hello Brambles!! Well, you give great advice! In fact that is exactly what I did. I gave up on Renfe and went to Alsa and booked a bus for wife and I. It was fairly simple once I called my credit card company and explained to them that it was ME that was trying to buy a bus ticket in Spain. :)...
Trying tonight to reserve train service from Madrid T4 to Ponferrada for Sept 23 with a 0830 plane arrival from the USA.. I forgot how difficult that is to do. Like I said, merely just trying...... :(
We have taken both the bus and train from SDC to MAD on our return back home. We enjoyed both rides and both were very different in their own little ways. If you get the opportunity and subsequent Camino's, try each transportation option. Each carries it's own experiences-some good, some bad...

One time my suitcase came out early at the airport in Madrid...
I found this USA site for Renfe that seems to be easy to wrangle your way thru although I have yet to do that. Anyone have experience with this site...
Hello Kris, I will be flying into Pamplona from Madrid. I will then be staying in Pamplona Jesus y Maria one night before moving on to Corazon and then San Jean PDP to start my Camino. Plan is that since I will be in Pamplona on my way to SJPDP why not just spend a day there and tour the city...
