Those are the tracks I used, the list from his web site and that you linked to.
I figured as he did it in January that the overgrowth wouldn't have been there! The road walking was an okay alternative, as I was not up for bushwhacking that day!
I used roderosky's track as a backup that day...
Felechosa to Moreda, my third etapa.
I was a bit sluggish today. Felechosa opens late on Sunday, so I was going on a Coke Zero instead of a café con leche…ah well.
It starts out on a paved rural track that goes to the first village, El Pino. Saw a lovely building that would make a great...
Quick update for Day 2 as bad wifi connection and I am super tired after 33 Km, 800 ascending metres and 1200 descending metres :)
Just gorgeous all the way along. First part was on a PR trail out of Puebla de Lillo, then another one through amazing mountains (shocked myself on the electric...
(Note to Mods: Feel free to move this, especially if this Camino takes off and gets its own forum. As it’s a variant of the San Salvador I posted it here.)
I survived the first day!
I had breakfast at Cafe Viejo around 7:30 this morning in Boñar after staying in Hostal Nisi. Walked a bit over...
Ok, so just have to recommend Hotel Rural Orquídea in Velilla del Río Carrión to anyone doing 10B. I’m staying here tonight and the owner (la dueña) Anna Maria is one of the kindest and most welcoming people I have met on any Camino. She offers a pilgrim discount. Decent room, but it‘s all about...
Ok, at the moment this is a go starting next Friday (unless the weather forecast changes, which, being in León and Asturias, is apt to do). Have the tracks on Wikiloc ready! Have reservations at hotels/hostales/pensiones in Puebla de Lillo and Felechosa and somewhere before Mieres.
Starting...
After a meh day between Pancorbo and Briviesca, I decided to try the unmarked variant mentioned on Gronze today. I found a couple of tracks on Wiki and went for it.
It was incredible and worth it!
When leaving Briviesca, take a right at the sign that says to go straight to Valdazo and Reinoso...
It's not just for the Camnino, as I write about travel (most of it is Spain though), but I do have a LOT about my times on the Camino with separate pages for the Camino del Norte, San Salvador, Primitivo, Aragonés, Invierno and my day hikes on the Levante from València. I'll be updating it with...
Thanks so much for the info!
It'd be a great detour for people starting this Camino in León, but direct from Boñar to Puebla de Lilla, it looks to add a lot more kms.
Although I think it would be possible to go from Boñar to Valdepielago, go to the waterfall, and then go to Noceda de Curueño...
I've found pensiones and hoteles on Google Maps for Puebla de Lillo and Felechosa, sort of on the expensive side for some Camino budgets though. There is an albergue juvenil in Bustiello between Moreda and Ujo, and a hotel in Figaredo. I'll post all of the options/prices later as I'm figuring...
That's great news! I had found the tracks but wasn't sure if they were the most updated ones. Thanks for the links! I'm studying them closely...challenging but in a good way.
I'm really tempted to try this out and be a guinea pig and report back here, of course. Did some hikes in Colorado in...
How are things looking for it? I would definitely be interesting in exploring this one since I'm doing the Olvidado and changing to the Salvador in Buiza in October...I'd love to be able to go from Boñar to Oviedo.
Thank you! I'm still leaning toward the section of the Camino Olvidado from Aguilar de Campoo to Buiza for the autumn, but this is really looking tempting. Thanks for sharing your tracks and adventure on it!
Thanks for sharing your experience! I can deal with challenging, I think (I did Poladura-Campomanes in 2018...that was completely exhausting!) 7.5 hours isn't too bad. I need my café con leche so if I see open bars, I'll probably stop :)
Since I'm going in the fall, I should ask...how bad was...
Thank you so much for the info. I did Poladura to Campomanes in 2018, and I'm not making that mistake again, so just wanted to see Vegacervera-Buiza would be like :)
Hi everyone, been lurking in this thread and others, newbie to the Camino forum but not Caminos.
Anyway, I have a question for my own planning to piggyback off others.
My plan is to do the Camino Vasco del Interior, which I had to cancel last fall (but then I had more days on the Invierno!)...
