Restaurant recommendations between Santo Domingo and Belorado?

It's not much, but Albergue Parada Viloria in Viloria de Rioja makes some simple eggs and bocadillos during the day, really delicious, all donativo - a special place and hospitaleros worth supporting!

    Taramundi Knives and León

Why not buy your knife when you arrive in Leon? This place has a great selection, plenty of Taramundi from what I recall, as well as rare, handmade Maragato knives: https://maps.app.goo.gl/d2FT52BCzi7HQZwz9

    Cheese

I'd recommend Lolita Cardelle in the Mercado de Abastos. The proprietress Dora is both lovely and knowledgeable when it comes to Galician cheeses, and she carries both classic DOP stuff (Arzúa, Tetilla, etc) as well as more modern, prize-winning local cheeses like Da Josefa, Marianne and Savel...

    Day trips from Santiago?

I would add that the closest town on the sea to Santiago is Noia, with Muros right across the ria. They are both lovely towns with a lot of history, and if you're still interested in walking, the Noia/Muros Camino is official now too, and a shorter walk than the Ingles or Sanabres...

Anyone been to this restaurant in Santiago?

If you're looking for gluten-free food in Santiago, Sinduena's entire menu is gluten-free. It's also a beer bar with a large selection of gluten-free beers! https://sinduena.es/

    Any foodies in the house?

Hi @TheLaw14 - I, for one, would love any posts you can find the time to share about food along the Norte as you walk - thank you! I can second the recommendation of Elkano in Getaria, truly a great restaurant. They fish their own turbot and keep it live in tanks under the restaurant. In San...

    Accommodation Vilanouva de Arousa

Another vote for A Salazon - well located, comfortable, modern private rooms with some charm, the owner is indeed lovely, and I believe we did our laundry for free!

If I don't stop in Zubiri, What do you recommend?

If you'd like to venture out of the hotel in Burguete for a meal, Txiki Polit across the street is excellent. Only open for lunch, but coming from Borda, you could arrive in time!
