Where do you recommend? I'm in Berducedo now. Could feel a good rest day coming soon, both physically but also mentally. I've been on Camino since SJPP about a month ago and currently seem to be caught up in a fresh wave of pilgrims out of Oviedo. While their enthusiasm is great, I just seem to...
I'm coming off the Frances from SJPP to Leon so have my legs under me. I need to be in Oviedo next Friday, July 1 and need to leave Oviedo Monday June 27.
Can Salvador realistically be done Monday -Friday? If not, and had to cut a day, which part of it would you recommend skipping through?
Title says it all. I'm stopping in Leon for the weekend and need to use Correos to send my non-camino luggage on to be stored in Santiago until I get there.
Anyone know if any Correos offices in Leon happen to be open on Sunday? Can't find any so wanted to ask here.
Think I overpacked, trying to shed gear. Wondering...
1) how cold it gets? I have merino LS base layer. Curious if I need my warmer mid layer also, or if a LS base layer and rain jacket is enough?
2) how essential is a first aid kit?
3) How much water do I need to carry? I have 2x 1.2L...
Starting CF tomorrow from SJPP. Coming from Bayonne, but have been traveling awhile, so I have a bunch of non-Camino stuff with me. I'm going to need to use the luggage transfer companies to send it ahead and then hold it.
Are there any concerns with security of baggage with these companies...
I've never been to SJPP. Is it a place that people usually want to stay for a day/night before beginning their walk, or is it more of a "just get there and go" kind of thing? I'll be coming from a few days in Bayonne.
I am about to begin CF on, admittedly, not having planned it out that much. I'm sorted on gear thankfully.
One piece of advice I was read (don't recall where) said to reserve lodging in SJPP and the initial stages in advance. Is this the case? If so, how does one go about reserving them? I...
I may need to delay my start in order to finish my grad school coursework. My goal was to have it all done and out of the way so I could just be on the Camino and not have to think about it or feel the need to study while on the trip.
Is there a good, inexpensive place near SJPP to spend a few...
Hi everyone,
Starting my first Camino in a week (!) from SJPDP.
My general question is (a) is there a "preferred" baggage service, and (b) which service has the most locations where they will store luggage for several weeks?
Context below. Thank you pilgrims!
