I will be serving as a Hospitalero in Bercianos from June 1 to June 15 and then would like to spend a few days in Santiago before flying back home.
What is the best bus or train route to go from Bercianos to Santiago? Any idea how long it takes? Times?
Thanks,
dan
I'm planning to walk the Camino Frances again in October 2014. I walked in 2012 and can't wait to do it again.
What would I do differently? The first thing is carry less. I am looking at new backpacks. I walked with a Gregory Z40 in 2012 and am looking at the OMM Classic 32L backpack. I want...
I know this sounds like a crazy request, but I walked the camino this year (Sep/Oct) and lost my iPhone on Day 2, somewhere between Zubiri and Larrasoana. It was Day 2, I was really tired and hot, knees hurting a bit from the descents and when I got to that staircase you have to walk down on...
I leave for the airport in a few hours to start my trip to Paris and then on to SJPP to start my Camino. I have a reservation at L'Esprit for Friday night and plan to begin walking on Saturday.
Thanks to everyone who has posted. I have read this forum daily for nine months, learned so much...

I am planning to walk from SJPP in mid September. Thought it might be a nice rest day / side trip to go to Silos from Buros to see Monasterio and hear the chanting monks. Has anyone taken a bus from Burgos to Silos? How frequent are the busses? Is it worth the side trip to Silos?

Based on what I've been reading, I should bring two sets of clothes on the Camino and wash clothes each night. Do people carry laundry detergent or do you buy enough each day from somewhere? This is probably a stupid question, but I've been wondering about it. Thanks.
Hi, I'm Dan, and will be doing my first camino in Septemer/October 2012. I'm excited and scared and have been reading blogs, postings and sites on the internet nonstop. I can't sleep, just thinking about the incredible experience I'm going to have.
One of by biggest questions is what the...
