    Having just walked through where they plan to divert the Norte away from I can't understand why. Of all the Norte it was the best marked, had the smallest amount of road walking and had some of the best albergues. Why mess with perfection?

    I have just finished the Norte with a 38 litre Osprey. I had plenty of room for everything...even extra food. There has been lots of rain and few dryers so bring extra socks and a warm sleeping bag...also a good jacket and poncho.
