I just completed the camino in June and taped my feet everyday of the walk. It became a joke between and my camino buddies as I had the morning ritual of taping each heel and all my toes. I walked for 28 days and apart from 3 tiny blisters, I never had a problem with my feet. Out of all the...
Of course I'll have what few valuables I'll be carrying with me the whole time, but is there much problem in gear being stolen from refugios along the way? Obviously when you leave to go for a walk or dinner, is it reasonably safe to leave backpacks/gear/shoes etc behind?
I just found this post. Ivar offers a storage soution once the luggage hits Santiago. Cheap and he holds onto it until you arrive. Between the Spanish post and Ivar, I think this could be a good solution.

Buen Camino.
I am leaving for the Camino in 3 weeks and apart from a poncho I wasn't planning on taking other wet weather gear with me. Is this OK or could I be making a packing faux-pas? I assumed being summer I would be OK. I have fast drying trekking pants but nothing else apart form the poncho and a rain...

Thanks for getting back to me falcon269. It poses another question then - do I need to take a sleeping bag at all? Would a sleep sheet be enough? Is the bag extra weight I won't need?
Hi everyone. I am planning to walk to Camino in June and slowly buying my gear. I was wondering what temperatures are like throughout June and if anyone has recommendations of sleeping bags that are light and weather relevant for June temperatures (and if there are no beds will I be sleeping...
