This may be of interest to those who have studied one or two years of Spanish...or for those determined souls who have minimal Spanish but don't mind slogging through a Spanish book with the assistance of Saint Google for those more obscure words and phrases.
In the past, I have used this book...
Have you ever had a bad Camino experience that, to your surprise, became a fond memory?
This topic just occurred to me as I was reflecting on the 2016 Camino francés I did with my then 15-year old daughter.
We arrived in El Burgo Ranero very late in the day and our only lodging option was El...
I'm sure many of you are familiar with the piano compositions of Ludovico Einaudi. So, this post is for those who are not yet familiar with this musical genius.
If you like mellow, classical-ish piano music and you like walking, then you must give a listen to his piece, "Seven Days Walking."...
I was just now checking in for a Delta Airlines flight to Madrid and the message below popped up on the screen. I was unable to confirm this information on Spanish government nor US government websites. So I am wondering if it is outdated information?

Could anyone weigh in on the veracity of that claim...
Could anybody recommend a guided wine-tasting experience in Villafranca del Bierzo? It would have to be in the town itself and not insanely expensive. It would be for a group of 10-12 people.
Thanks!
I recently learned that Jacotrans will charge 50 euros for a pilgrim to drop a bag off in León and pick it up in Santiago two weeks later.
I'm betting that post restante is a more affordable option (?). Of course, this depends on the weight of the luggage.
Any advice for using post restante at...
Hello,
I have scanned previous posts but am making this query in the hope of receiving updated information.
I am an educator who will be leading a group of 10-12 college students on the Camino from León to Santiago de Compostela during the last two weeks of July.
I realize that reservations...
Hello,
I would be grateful for any input on the feasibility of doing the Camino Francés in winter - early December to early January.
I have checked the winter temperature averages for various cities from Roncesvalles to Santiago and that is not a problem. Average snowfall is negligible in the...
