Many thanks to all who have helped me on this forum!
My quandary .....I have read in the Renfe timetable that I depart from Castilla station to get the train to Pamplona, then I Googled B&B's near the station bound for Pamplona and they were all near Atocha station.
So anyone out there who is in...
Once again, many thanks!
I tried booking on line but it would not accept my destination (SJPdP) on the 'international' form...maybe it is too early. Would you know if the bus depot in Pamplona is close to they rain station?
Thanks Karen
Thank you Castilian for such in depth information, it is much appreciated.
I am interested in finding out more about the Asta Bus service from Pamplona to SJPdP, but I believe the service only starts around Easter so I will be patient until then.
Thanks Irma, for the info on Alsa, I was going to investigate nearer the time.
Have you seen the Taxi Share thread on the forum, where you put in your dates from Pamplona and see if anyone travelling on the same day.
I read somewhere on the Forum that there is a bus from Pamplona, the ALSA bus departs 14:00 and arrives SJPdP at 15:45 and costs €20. So maybe I will take this option. Buen Camino Karen
Hello Irma, I am hoping to catch a bus from Roncesvalles to SJPdP on the 7/8th May and am hoping the busses are frequent and that I am not forced to take a taxi. I have decided to leave some things up to chance and not get too stressed about securing all details...fingers crossed!
Thanks Mikel, I just wondered if there were any local Safas doing it around the same time as I was, I am so looking forward to meeting people and making friends with folk from all over the world. I am busy attempting to learn Spanish but have realised that I am Linguistically challenged.
My ticket is booked, arrive Mardrid on the 6th May, hope to begin the Camino on the 7/8th. Getting very excited, busy planning and gathering my equipment, still walking my dogs most days and will up my distance shortly to prepare my feet and legs for the longer distances. Adios ! Hasta Luego.
Hola fellow pilgrims or prospective ones like me, I am so enjoying the Forum, all my questions are answered in depth and I have gleaned so much valuable information all of which is hugely appreciated. Mucho Gracias. Karen
Karen Davies, Grahmastown, South Africa, going to do the Camino from St J P de P this May June and would be gratefull for any advice and tips. I would like to know if any other Safas are doing it in May.
