Hello All!
I'm not even half way through the Camino Frances and my Passport is already filling up. I know I will run out of squares before the end.
I have a second passport, of a different style. Can I simply continue on the second one when the first one is full?
Also, at what point do I need...
I'm a newbie. So my advice might not be as valid as some of the Camino Veterans.
But while preparing my packing list for this Spring, I always ask myself, who will be carrying this? Answer... me!
Then I ask... how badly do I really need this item?
I do not want to overpack!
So, regarding shoes...
Good job on the training!
I changed to a very light pack... Osprey Exos 48.
Taking a Marmot Atom sleeping bag. All clothing is light weight, and or quick drying. Base layer, hiking shirt, fleece shirt & pants, down vest, outer rain shell and rain pants. All as light and compressible as...
Hello All!
I have been working very hard to lighten the load I will be carrying on the Camino Frances this spring.
Today I was happy to discover that my total pack weight, without water, is coming in at 13.5 lbs.
This is under my 15 lb. max limit, and I still have room in my pack!

I am curious to know what most of you have done regarding...

So, if I want to stay another day, to rest for example, will they let me check back in in the afternoon? Or will I have to go to a different albergue...
Thank you for sharing!
My Son, who lives in Paris, will be joining me for at least part of the Camino this Spring.
I can't think of a better way to enjoy time with my boy!

Hello All!
A question regarding washing your clothes while on the Camino... Is it best to use some kind of mesh bag, and just throw your bag into the machine? (I assume there are machines)
And would doing so be better if you share a machine with other Pilgrims?
Can you recommend a particular bag...
I originally also had gaps between my straps and shoulders. I exchanged my pack with a "large" frame, to one with a "medium" frame. Now the straps follow the contours on my shoulders better. However, the hip belt padding now only goes to the center of my side. I don't think this is a big deal...
Hi Kathy!
I am trying to limit the weight to 15 lbs. not counting water.
The training I am doing is with the pack full, but the longest I have gone so far is 4 hrs. I was and am concerned about how it will feel after multiple all days.
But, like you, worst case scenario, I figure I can always...
