I feel your pain!! I got shin splints in both legs - I also used Voltaren and a cream made by a Spanish pharmacist; both helped, but the most helpful was a compression sleeve. It made it possible to continue with minimal pain and the problem resolved in 5 to 7 days. Good luck!
My sympathies!! I got them part way through my camino. My saviour was a pharmacist who gave me a compression sleeve, which I wore every day walking (I took it off at night). Combined with Voltaren and icing, they went away within a week. Good luck!
We walked the Frances in September/October. I carried a small (folding) dual voltage hairdryer - it weighed about 6 oz. - and it got a LOT of use, not just so I wouldn’t have to sleep with wet hair, but to dry socks, underwear and t-shirts on those days when the sun wasn’t hot enough to dry...
