    Chartres or Orleans

    Looking at the GR655 map I see it splits after Paris and joins together at Tours. Has anyone done both the Chartres and Orleans variation and recommends one or the other ? More pleasant walking / scenery is my preference. Or if you have done either and loved it, that is good too.

    Nice albergue in Piñera ( after Luarca )

    There is a very nice albergue in Piñera. Not to be overlooked. Very useful information provided for the various options to Ribadeo and on to Mondonedo. Also the pilgrims meal is certainly worth it. Maybe too short a stage from Luarca.

    Rest days on Norte.

    Looking at the various stagings for the Norte they seem to vary between 31 and 36 stages. I would like to add a couple of rest days ( maybe three ). Excluding Bilbao, are there any recommended places for taking a rest day along the route ?
