I have read the number of responses you received about the train connections. Looking at my pre-paid ticket it is not apparent that I have to do any changing of stations the others were talking about, so I thought I would share my ticket stub with you. I am taking a TGV train from CDG, not an...
Totally understand your anxiety. I also applied for my French Health Pass but have heard nothing. Everything I have read here says our vaccination certificates are sufficient. I did make multiple copies of both my certificate and passport on the same sheet of paper in case I lose some on the...
Oh gosh, I hope so. I feel in control and ready for the physical stresses on the trek, its the getting there that stresses me out! Thank you for boosting my confidence
I am flying into CDG on the 14th and will head straight to the train to ride down to SJPDP arriving in Bayonne at 16:49 and transferring to the SJPDP train to arrive at 18:11. Spending the night of the 14th and 15th at Gite Makila then on the road to Orisson on the 16th. Anyone out there who...
Barb, I will also be leaving SJPDP on the 16th. I will be staying the first night at Orisson as I do not want to start my old legs too quickly. I look forward to seeing you on the road. I can't wait to meet you and Sandy!
Hi Pete, I will also be arriving in SJPP on the late on the 14th. I will be staying 2 nights at the Gite Mikala to get over the jet lag and settle a bit from all the travel. I will be starting my Camino on the 16th, staying that night in Orisson. I don't want to overtax my old legs right from...
I have just booked my flight from Spokane to Paris for Sept. 13th. I will take the train to St. Jean changing trains in Bayonne. I am now starting the trek on the 16th. I too will be arranging a stay in Orrison. I am not a fan of long steep hikes! Buen Camino.
I am planning on flying out of Idaho on the 14th and arriving in Paris to St. Jean on the 15th. I figured I would need a day or two to get oriented and adjusted to the jet lag. I hope to meet you somewhere on the road, however, I will be a solo walker and at 64 will not be pushing too fast!
I am planning to start my journey Sept. 17th. I have not yet booked my flights because I am wondering how concerned the local population is about all the pilgrims walking through their village? I am fully vaccinated and will be bringing my card, but that may not even matter if the aubergues are...
