Advice on walking the Portuguese Camino from Porto
That’s how long I took last September. Includes one rest day. Days ranged from 28kms to 14kms. It’s fairly flat till Galicia- that’s when some hills crop up.- Lindy Lou

If you had to skip some of the coastal route.. which part :-(
They were the very beginning of our Camino and I was excited about everything but after 1.5 days of boardwalks I was glad to see the last of them. Looking back they are right on the beach (beautiful) and part and parcel of the Coastal Camino. If you’re short on time skip. If you have time enjoy...- Lindy Lou

Which part to skip?
No ferries on Mondays but the private water taxi right there at ferry terminal runs always. Great service for Euro5.- Lindy Lou

I agree. Vigo is not pretty and very steep. Skip this. Also skip the 1.5 days of boardwalks out of Matishinos. Just go from straight to Espesonde and start there. Bom Caminho.- Lindy Lou

I walked the Portuguese Coastal last September. I recommend you take the Metro out of Porto to Matishinos (16 stops) and start there. Fishtail Hostel is fabulous and a street away from the Camino.
