    Have you used Aíralo?

I have only used Airalo. Loved it. It's a bit tricky to get set up, but I figured it out myself. Good to hear the customer support is good. I always set it up before I leave the USA, so it's ready to turn on when I land. But I DID make the mistake of trying to turn it on after landing, thinking...

I asked AI for a picture

This is my favorite trick whenever I need to slow the pace down! There are SO MANY photos to take, everywhere! 😂

    Best 5 days

The Salvador is a lot tougher to walk in five days than the Ingles, so I would recommend the Ingles!

Personal Reflections on the Camino Journey

Love the name as well. And indeed, lovely thoughts and oh so true!

    Afghans on trees

Outside the former albergue in Alpriate, so I guess they do it in Portugal as well. This was several years ago. At least it was white and after all that work, the colors wouldn't fade!! A bit more effort than Granny Squares! Fringes even!

If at first you don't succeed, try-try again and again, and again....

Wonderful for you!! Buen Camino! You are the definition of ultreia!

    Toilet paper on the camino

Portable bidet, as I've posted before. Weighs nothing, takes no room in your pack, uses regular water bottle. I love mine and use it camping/hiking too. Good for number one and two. Combined with a Kula cloth, or bandana to dry off with. Superb.

    Booking.com prices vs. Gronze

In my experience, with all my research, Booking.com is a very fluid thing indeed, as everyone has already mentioned. However, the price of hotels and private albergues has indeed gone up considerably, regardless of what Booking.com posts. The post-pandemic travel craze is alive and well, and it...

    GPX File Question

You can easily convert a GPX file to KML at this website: https://gpx2kml.com/ And you should be able to upload either GPX or KML to Wikiloc and use it without a problem.

Thoughts on “Santiago - the Camino within”

I agree 100%. We left early as well, after the interview with the bishop started after the actual movie. I told my husband, if I knew I was only going to church, I wouldn't have come! And as @trecile says, it was a bad sermon at that. I'm not Catholic, but it felt like it was a plug for the...

    Packing boots while in city

I use three carabiners, one at each heel, clipping them from the pull tab there to the backpack on each side, and the third carabiner to clip the top of the laces from each boot together, so they don't flop around. Works like a charm.

Random thing that made you smile on Camino?

Love the animals, but Love, Love the dance more!!

The Camino - such an emotional experience!

@JustJack sounds to me like you are ready to release whatever it is that your gut is telling you that you need to release. ;)

    Muscle cramps & other bits

Cyclists swear by pickle juice for muscle cramps.

Article on why a person should go on pilgimage

I like the article too, for the same reasons as @wisepilgrim. Importantly, unhappy moments happen as well as happy and insightful moments. Sometimes its hard to know the difference. Often you don't know the difference until many days afterward. The core of it all, for me is the understanding...

Anyone else already rocking a Pilgrim's Tan?

Sorry, I have an all-over tan, was just in Puerto Rico, walking the nude beaches! 🤣 🤣 NOT!!

What's the thing with pilgrims and scenic detours?

She who wanders is not lost! Go for whatever is in your heart!

If you see something, say something — to Gronze!

Agreed! They are a most useful, helpful and friendly organization!
