Oh Sssnek;
it’s very obvious we all feel your pain. It’s also patently obvious to me, at least, YOU can get through this. Six days in puts an amazing into an accomplishment you should be proud of. You have looked the worst in the eye and conquered the challenge. At this point as so many have...
Victor and his horses managed to take my sorry butt up to O’Cebreiro in 2017. An absolutely wonderful and memorable time.
Happy to give back in a small way.
Good luck Victor.
Just a thought on the limited time available for your Camino.
If you were to walk backwards from Santiago, facing Santiago and moving east you will know where you could have started at the end of your time on The Way.
I don't think it is necessary to wear your clothes backwards, or wear your...
I have walked the CF twice, both times starting in the third week of September. In both cases I was walking in sweltering heat, and on other days I was glad I had gloves and a fleece. (I had to buy the fleece the second time around.
Last year when I walked I found easy to get a bed with the...
I am only able to parrot what others are saying. My stay was in September 2017 and was easily one of the most comfortable private Albergue’s I stayed in. I ask my host for a nicerr glass of wine. My host poured me a glass of wine from his own collection, calling it the #3 in the previous year’s...
Finally, I will be returning to the Camino Frances. I arrive in SJPdP on the 17th and plan to spend the night at Orisson. My departure from Santiago will be on October 20th.......
Planning to extend my original blog at
www.camcamino.com
From Canada I found great prices Flying out of Porto Portugal....I don't know if this would translate well to your area of the world., but it is worth considering as it is reasonably close to SdC.
We were coming to the end of our Camino and checked into a small hostel one day out of Santiago. OI asked the server for a Rioja as I had become increasing tired of drinking the "pilgrim wine" and wanted something a little better.
The server looked at be and said no.....he wanted us to try the...
Like you I also struggle with being separated from the Camino. When someone asks about my experience I am told I light up....and express my experience with such emotion. I am frustrated with the feelings I can never really explain the importance of the experience and the attachment I have to my...
I definitely wold suggest spending an extra day exploring Burgos and would also recommend investigating the Little Fox House in Muxia to "decompress" after your Camino....I'm planning to stop there next year.
All the best and Buen Camino.

You will be walking in the footsteps of so many before you.....and tomorrow so many will be walking the same path you have. Make every effort to enjoy everything the Camino is......
Buen Camino.
After one of our longer days walking we arrived in Rabanal del Camino on an early October afternoon and decided to call it quits. We checked into an Albergue that had once been a stable for horses. I was delighted how nicely it was converted to welcome Pilgrims. After cleaning up I almost...
I recommend making a reservation at Orisson. I did and was appreciative when I arrived there. Despite all the preparations made was really not ready to face the Pyrenees my first day. There are decided lack of mountains where I live.
Start slow and build up your distance naturally.
One of the...
Anticipation, a sense of some uncertainty, and a couple of butterflies are all part of it.
Enjoy every emotion and sensation. I am sure you will find this as natural as walking.....
You'll get this on the second day when a bulb will probably go off over your head as it did mine. The Camino...
Hi KerrieG;
Based on my Camino at the same time in 2013 50 days should be very comfortable pace.
You should consider the changing seasons with your wardrobe choices.
When you start it is possible to have days well into the high 20's (or more), but by the end of your walk you will definitely be...
Hi Scruffy;
.....created a simple solution to solve the same issue.
I was carrying a small flash light and a headlamp and would make note of the location of the W.C. before going down for the night. (I could apparently remember this even after a bottle of Rioja passed my lips) When I had to...
