    Wonderful B&B in Acebo

I'm testing a new way of splitting threads in the updated software, starting with this thread. The thread about going from El Acebo to Penalba de Santiago can now be found here: http://www.caminodesantiago.me/community/threads/the-trail-from-el-acebo-to-penalba-de-santiago.26012/ Thank you...

To get a bus or not to get a bus.

+ 1 to that. I'm also a Not taking the bus-girl. That's because it's more fun to walk, and also because of the credencial. When starting, I get my credencial. Then I write my name etc on it. Or someone else did that for me, in the church if Santiago in Madrid, for example. And tick the box...

    I took too many photos

Hola, the discussion about advantages/disadvantages with having a camera with you is interesting and deserved its own thread, I think, so I made that (posts are moved from this thread Full albergues every day ). (If you can figure out a better thread title, send me a pm) Susanna/Mod. :)

    Negative Comments about Camino Frances

That article was discussed a few years ago also. Maybe it can be interesting to read what they thought then, especially as the author himself posted an explanation in the thread. http://www.caminodesantiago.me/community/threads/and-now-for-something-completely-different.7611/

    Bicycle Peregrinos <grumble>

+1 to that. Most of them are very nice. Quite often they stop and want to talk for a while.

Late sunrises and leaving early...how does that work?

As we are talking about walking in the dark. I remember an article in Chris Townsends outdoors blog. Here it is: http://www.christownsendoutdoors.com/2013/01/in-praise-of-night-hiking.html It's also wonderful.

Late sunrises and leaving early...how does that work?

A wonderful post Aikidosteve. I had to go back and read it again as I liked it so much. :) You should write here more often .

Are there options on the Camino instead of the shared accomodation?

+1 to that. The booking.com app is great. :)

My stages for the Camino Frances in 23 days

You're welcome! :) And good luck to you and your first camino. Perhaps you will notice that people walk faster and slower than you. And that that has nothing to do with You, and some (imagined by you) wish to compete with you. ;)

My stages for the Camino Frances in 23 days

Hi christer1!:) It seems like you haven't understand anything of what we are trying to say here. Let me see if I can help you. Try to read this.... : (Am quoting myself) "Myself I think I just walk, in a way that feels natural and comfortable for me" ...a couple of times and see if it helps. :)

My stages for the Camino Frances in 23 days

Exactly. ;) This reminds me of one of the last days when my camino friend and I was walking on the frances. Ok, it was getting late and I was starting to feel a bit tired and sweaty. And we had decided to stop at a certain place where there was a small private albergue. And we came to a hill...

My stages for the Camino Frances in 23 days

I walk fast too.:) I know that because other people say I walk fast. (Which means faster than they do, and they comment my way of walking because consider their own speed as the norm) Myself I think I just walk, in a way that feels natural and comfortable for me.
