Greetings from up the road a piece! I’m in Astorga. At least until the crack of dawn on Tuesday when I finally start my way home. Wishing you all the best Desert Bruce and Albertagirl!

Unfortunately...I just got caught out by this. Fortunately not for the Camino. Rather sadly, taking the last of my fathers ashes back to his childhood home in Germany. So..promptly did as @t2andreo paid twice!! I still feel lucky that I found out about this right as it happened and I was able...
This is a most terrible and depressing thread. For someone who has just begun to get serious about dieting that is!! 😂 So of course I read each and every post and check each and every link...and now quite frankly I'm going to go throw open the cupboard doors and begin grazing!!.....or go...
Having had the joy of finally meeting ya'll (well...some of your lovely clan!) ... all I can say is it was worth the efforts on your part. The young one in question is now a lovely and very personable young lady that ANYONE would be proud to be able to call their own. In fact it's one of the...
Dave I thought of you often on the Primitivo. Wishing you all the best and hoping that "Baby come back" will somehow resonate thru the airwaves and bring you back to us!! ;-) "Come back...baby comeback!!" (love that Chinacat!!)
Oh wow. So sorry to see this. Check (if you haven't already!) Rome2Rio.com Someone recommended it to me years ago and its very helpful for getting from some rather obscure As to Bs!! :-) Good luck!
My newest favorite toy is the website Urcamino.com. For the routes that it covers its a great planning tool. You can punch in your start place and say what is your average distance per day. It will then tell you how long that would take and give you all sorts of flexible options for plotting...
Truly wishing you well!! :-) Just take it slowly and listen to your body. Take breaks!!! When I walk with my hubby aka Raymond the Reluctant Pilgrim, we take a break every hour to hour and a half. Five minutes. Shoes off. Water and perhaps a bite of something. I actually use the damn phone...
Wow. My sympathies to all pilgrims in training out west! I can understand a little as we had lots of smoke on The Ingles last fall, from fires miles and miles away. Tough going. Buen Camino a todo!
I hear you! But I think everyone sorta hit the nail on the head here. Breathe, relax, have fun talking to that new guy you just met and let the Camino unfold before you! Besides, now you get to be the voice of experience if someone is panicking that they can't do it! Buen Camino!
:D But trust me on this one....getting rid of one as a weight loss idea...doesn't work!! Tried that 8 years back...thought i'd be down a pound...no such luck! ;)
IF you are truly panicked remember that you could always opt to walk to Orisson and then taxi back to SJPP (if they are all booked up) The following morning taxi up and complete the walk to Roncesvalles. :-) There are always other ways to skin a cat!! (I'm always wondering where on earth that...
Wow if this has been you being grumpy and out of sorts, you must be the most mellow person ever!! Seriously, I haven't noted any crankiness in my time back here. To the contrary!! Wishing you the best of healing and Buen Camino! I'm thinking there are going to be a lot of gimpy, slightly...
