Hi Doug. what r your travel plans for this year. I'm going back to Porto to continue my walk that was interrupted by my fall down stairs in Porto last year. I'm taking a friend who is a Camino newbe with me then travelling g Europe for 8 weeks afterwards. Cheers kiwi Kay
I have just walked Lisbon to Porto and felt safe in all the Albergues I slept. Only elderly and pharmacists and on public transport are u reminded that covid is still present. Walk relax and enjoy. Just stay careful. Dont stress. Bon camino

I discovered to travel to Braga its quicker and simpler to do a day trip from Porto. Only 1 bus and takes an hour. 7€. Much easier than negotiating yoyr way from Barcelos.
I have walked and cycled over borders into and out of Portugal several times and never been questioned entering or leaving! Was shocked to read this. I travel on nz or Brit passports.
