Hi Luke, greetings from Ojai! I am doing my 3rd Camino starting April 24th from Pamplona. My 1st was April 2018, it pretty much rained the first 10 days ( my fault being from Ca. I walked the Frances April/May 2018, started April 7 in Pamplona. Pamplona to Zariquiegui- rain, Estella-rain, Logrono to Navarette - rain ( altho the woman running Albergue Sombra del Laurel said previous year they had no rain the whole month) Burgos to Hornillos- rain, then the sun came out...- Caligal

You might want to consider starting in Pamplona. That would give you a few extra days and if you are not great walkers the walk from St Jean is pretty difficult.- Caligal
