Hi! Don,
Sad news. Hope you feel better soon. Too young to retire.
I'll be thinking of you on the trails early May, somewhere between Burgos and Covarubias and Vitoria and Burgos.
Cheers,
Jean-Marc

I plan to be on the same camino starting early May.
Have a good one,
Cheers,

Yes, in fact as stated by Laurie, there is no markings in the reverse direction. Few people travel that road so do not expect help from oncoming pilgrims.
Also, be careful in that Ruta del Ebro won't lead you to Monserrat but rather to Tortosa. You have to switch to Camino Catalan somewhere...
It will be fun up to Sahagun. Then, walking in reverse to Logrono will be a little tricky but, things could get nasty once you hit the Camino del Ebro and Camino Catalan in the ''wrong'' direction.
Good luck,
Jean-Marc
Hotel Jacobeo operates a pilgrims' albergue on the other side of the street facing the hotel(inquiries at the hotel desk).
It's on the way in once you've entered the old city(you will see the sign on the sidewalk). Good accommodation, decent price and you can stay two nights.
Enjoy,
Jean-Marc
Not quite ''nationwide''.
French Canada has its own named ''Du Québec à Compostelle''.
See it here: http://www.duquebecacompostelle.org/
For the Canadian Company of Pilgrims (notice the name change),
go there: http://www.santiago.ca/ben.html
Bonne route,
Jean-Marc
P-S. I'm a happy member...
I agree that the destination may be as important as the journey the first time on the camino.
But in my opinion, on repeated walks the destination slowly fades away leaving the journey as the focal point.
Re: WALKING TO FINISTERRA,CONCERNED ABOUT ACCOMMODATION
Rosemary,
If the spartan albergue proposed by mspath doesn't tickle your fancy, here is a suggestion to shorten the distance and enjoy a more upscale accommodation.
Somewhere on the way (I don't recall where exactly but if you're being...
Re: Class of 2012 and Introduction
Hi Judy,
If I may suggest, in order to enjoy it all in one shot, you should take a look at the Camino Del Norte.
It's less travelled, has interesting sites to visit (Guggenheim, Gernika, et al) and you could start right there in Bilbao. I had the pleasure of...
