When it is very busy and when a hospitalero is not very, very attentive it occurs that one sock stays in the washing machine. Weather over Pyrenees April 15,2023
I am in the albergue of Roncesvalles at the moment. Yesterday morning we had snow in the Pyrenees, and the rest of the day pouring rain. Today rain again, pilgrims arrive in the albergue cold and wet, so be prepared with poncho and adequate rain protection for your backpack!- Ianinam

I am a hospitalero in Roncesvalles right now. It has been raining for weeks and weeks. Listen to the advice of the pilgrims office in Saint Jean Pied de Port and when you have the choice between the 4 hour descent and the 1 hour descent, do take the 4 hour descent!
