    What's your earliest Camino connection?

As they say @David, it’s the journey not the destination.

    What's your earliest Camino connection?

If we’re lucky, deep down, the child lives on in all of us.

I liked your first response, this one too.

    What's your earliest Camino connection?

I met 3 pilgrims in Guernica who were walking the Norte. I’d heard of the CdS but this personal connection stuck in my psyche, that was 2010. I walked the CF in 2017 and the CI last year. The Aragones and Francés is in my future, 2023 I hope.

Pre-Pilgrim times - photos of when you were young?

David, it’s the internet, there’s no privacy to be concerned about😫

    Hello, new here

Willke, That stretch is great. My favorite is Villafranca del Bierzo to O’C. A long day with the last big climb, I hope you enjoy it too. June is always busy and next year is a Holy Year, a little pre-planning may be in order but we all walk our own Way. Lots of info available, Brierley book is...

Willeke, Welcome to the Forum, you’ve come to the right place. Where do you plan to start your Camino? Saint Jean? Do you have any specific questions?

Following my heart in May/June 2020

Hello and welcome Msligab! On matters like this I try to be careful about advice but I will say this; open your mind and heart, use your phone sparingly and start walking west. I think you’ll be amazed by the possibilities. Buen Camino.

    A 'Newbie' question.

Tony, thank you for sharing part of your story, you should write your story.

    A 'Newbie' question.

Rev A, If you’re interested, this may take a while but, here we go. As a Humanist, I thought that I was going to walk the Camino Francés for the love of the outdoors, my love of history, some alone time, to meet interesting people, to disconnect from technology a bit and maybe to meditate and...

Pilgrim.es. Has anyone used this web site to book their trip...what are they like

No, anything booked on either of my Camino’s was done by me. I’ve never heard of the site you’re using. Good luck and Buen Camino.

Sorry, I just showed up and started walking. Seems to have worked out.

    Newbie needing advice

There are train connections from Santiago to Sarria via Ourence that may be more convenient. Also, are there any flights to A Corona? Train connections there too as well as bus.

    A 'Newbie' question.

Rev., Welcome and enjoy your Camino. Fear not your age, while crossing from France to Spain on the CF, I walked for a short while with an 82 year young German Pilgrim walking his 4th Camino, round trip. Now to your question. What made me walk my first Camino? The answer is boring. A better...

Hi , I am meeting up with my husband at the end of the Camino.

While it would require a short train ride, there seems to be more connections to Bordeaux (BOD). There’s a quick and inexpensive bus transfer between the airport and train station. Another option, hope it helps.

Second attempt at first Camino Sep. 14th 2019

Nameless Pilgrim, You’ve failed at nothing because you continue to try. Thomas Edison said “Many of life’s failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up”. Go to SJPP and walk with dozens of others who are probably having the same doubts and are...

    Pontedeume.

Fortunately I survived them all. Up and out of Castojeriz in 2017 and the climbs on the CI, especially those out of Pontedeume, I had the added joy of doing it in fog and rain in early June of this year. I don’t know how long it took but it seemed like forever. Yet, here I am smiling about it as...

    Sellos on short Ingles sections?

After the CF where I filled my American Credential with the final sello at the Pilgrims Office in SdC (my obsession I know), it was nice to go stamp happy on the CI. I got my first sello at the Con-Cathedral in Ferrol (office behind the Alter on the right), second at my hotel and the rest is...
