Train Times and Connecting from Porto Airport

Another option: bus or train from Porto to Valenca. Then you start across the river in Tui. Many lovely towns from there to Santiago.

How to get from Lisbon airport to Porto?

I’ve done two options: 1) take the subway to Oriente station and take the train to Porto. Totally manageable and a long enough ride to catch a nap before arriving. Or 2) fly from Lisbon to Porto. About 60 mins. Arrive at an airport that’s on a subway line. Faster. No naps.

    Tui to Porto

Took the bus from Valença back to Porto a few weeks ago because the daily rail strike was too unpredictable. Even if your bus doesn’t go to the airport, the terminal is at the metro stop and it’s about a 25-min trip from there. Note: the Rede bus in Valença only took cash for the ticket. And...

Is it good to fly into Bilbao or Biarritz?

Taxi from Biarritz to Bayonne. Inexpensive and fast. And then take the train from there to St Jean.

    Canadian Health Insurance Coverage

There’s a big distinction between what’s covered by provincial Medicare and private travel insurance. Just as important: cost of medical care in the event of infection might also be treated separate from costs incurred from having to self quarantine while asymptomatic...

    Pamplona Airport to Zariquiequi

The thing about that airport is there was (is?) no city bus that runs to it, so I ended up walking into town. It’s a fine route that’s mostly sidewalks albeit not terribly scenic. If you’ve done the walk into Burgos before, it’s a bit like that.

Be careful booking bus on Alsa app

Probably worth considering opting for paying by credit card for things like that. That way, you can quickly dispute charges. Anyhow, these things usually work themselves out.
