HI, yes, the walk from Irun to Hendaye is easy walk, short and very pleasant...and there is a bridge! I walked it after spending a few days decompressing in Irun after completing a Camino.....caught the bus in Hendaye to Bayonne, flew out from there to home.
Best to get Euros from your bank at home, before you leave, then use your debit card to access ATMS in Spain, always carrying a "cushion" for those villages where there is no bank and no ATM.
