Alternate options for picking up a credential after tourist centre closes?

The tourist office isn’t the only source of Credencials in Ferrol - we went to the Concathedral in the centre for ours -the office is open when there is a Mass. Otherwise you can get by mail order from Ivar or various other places. Buen Camino

    Luggage transfer.

Yes, I used Correos for Ferrol to SdC with my father in 2017 & they were excellent with no hitches or delays whatsoever. See - www.elcaminoconcorreos.com

Inglés: Coruña or Ferrol? No compostela needed

Hi there and yes I can highly recommend the Camino Ingles as a short, self contained Camino through interesting towns & villages and in beautiful countryside. My wife and I walked it with my (87 yo!) father in 2017 starting in El Ferrol. The Ingles has recently been recognised as an official...

Question on arriving and when to start from Ferrol

These are both lovely Caminos so you will enjoy I'm sure. I'd go for your last option ie take your time, enjoy both cities (Ferrol has a lot to see) then start walking once you're acclimatised and coping with any jet lag. Buen Camino.

    Camino ingles

Hola - I'd likewise recommend the parador in Ferrol - special Pilgrim rate available for Parador "Amigos". Otherwise, Betanzos is an interesting town with lots to see and do - not in the same league as the Parador, but we stayed in Hotel Garelos which was excellent. The town of Mino on the...

    "Nice Way" into Santiago

I'd definitely second that from my experience in 2018 - a lovely finish to a lovely route!

    Parking in Ferrol

Hi Martin - a friend of mine did this 2 years ago and parked at/beside the Train Station - just checked it out and it's operated by Saba Parking - see https://www.saba.es/en/parking-ferrol Not sure about the cost but the website will inform. Good luck y Buen Camino!

    Pilgrim Credencial in Ferrol

The Con-Catedral for your Credencial and I’d recommend Correos for your luggage transfers. Very professional, reliable service and not expensive.

    English Way Luggage Transfer

I would second that! Used them the last 3 years and they’ve been faultless.

    Taxi's on the Ingles.

No chance - use a local taxi/mini cab driver - any bar will be able to phone one for you.

New sello and food stop between Pontedeume and Miño!

Hi - I did the Ingles in May 2017 and we got our Credenciales in Ferrol at the Concatedral San Julian in Rua da Ingrexa (as the Tourist Office, contrary to what most tour guides advise, doesn't supply them). I recollect we went to the Concatedral on a Saturday when Evening Mass was taking place...

Camino Ingles advice for a newbie

I agree with the tip about the Parador in El Ferrol - we (me wife and father) stayed there in late April lat year & can recommend - right on the Camino route and they do a special rate for Peregrinos - we had the same o/night stops you're suggesting - the hill out of Pontedueme and the one...

Ferrol to A Coruna to Santiago?

I'm pretty sure the rules changed last year and walking from A Coruna to SdC does now qualify for a Compostela...
