    Old guide or new?

Hi All. I last did the English route in 2012. I am think of doing it again in Spring 2019 (with a couple new to the Camino. They want a taster and preferably want to end up in Santiago.) Has the route changed significantly to warrant my buying a new guide? I understand it’s changed around/after...

    Camino Inglés

Not sure where to post this but... does anyone know if the CFJ guide to the English route 2017/2018 is sufficiently up to date for a Spring 2019 camino? Given that there have been changes to the route since I last did it. The reviews I’ve read too for the Wise Pilgrim app are not all that...

    Last-minute....challenges??

It might not be possible now, who knows, but when I did this route a couple of years ago, we picked up our pilgrim passports at the cathedral/large church in Ferrol as the tourist office(s) were not open. I think it was about 10 am when we got them. It was after a morning service anyway on a...

Would love to but guess we won't arrive to Santiago until mid/late afternoon. Had hoped it might be an evening recital. Never mind. Wishing you all the very best and hope you have a great time. Buen Camino to you all

    Tourist information office

Hi, I have been using google maps to find the tourist information office in Ferrol. It is very unclear. If you look on the turgalicia site they too give a map but it is different to the google map one and the address doesn't seem to coincide with either map. We are arriving in Ferrol on Monday...

Camino Ingles - changes to the route - Sigüeiro - Santiago

Interesting... in view of the last 2 posts, we will be sticking to the guide especially if the route has begun to leave the city behind at this point and hey, we have all day to get to Pontedeume! But does anyone know about the diversion that seems to have been set up somewhere en route the 1st...

Camino Ingles - changes to the route - Sigüeiro - Santiago

Diversion on day 1... is this Ferrol > Santiago or La Coruna > Santiago? I've heard rumours too that there is a shortcut over a railway bridge over the ria on the way out of Ferrol... Is this for real or not. Has anyone heard of it? Judy

New possible stages on the Camino Inglés

Thanks everyone for your input. We have decided to stay in Sigueiro and are looking forward to the good food mentioned! They are charging 18 euro per person regardless of sharing or single rooms. When I telephoned to book yesterday it took 3 attempts. My Spanish is pretty good but the first 2...

New possible stages on the Camino Inglés

Me again! Has anyone any experience of staying in Meson do Novo and getting Antonio to do a pick up from Sigueiro to spend a 2nd night in Meson do Novo. Their place is beginning to sound much better than the hostal in Sigueiro. Thank Judy

Camino Ingles - changes to the route - Sigüeiro - Santiago

Hi, I see there is an update to this section but when I click on the link you mention John, it just takes me to the Camino de Invierno guide... am I missing the obvious? I have the update you did on the 9th August, will that be sufficient or is the new one more complete? If so, where is it...

    Bus travel

Thank you one and all. Quite agree re: the Alsa site. It seems to suggest there is no direct service between the two points. Put in La or A Coruna and it doesn't recognise anything, you have to put in Betanzos! Then I realised that this bus goes to Betanzos via Coruna but the only way to find...

    Bus travel

Can anyone help? A friend and I are going to do the Ingles route at the end of September. We are flying into La Coruna and bussing to Ferrol. However, I can find no info re: getting a bus from Santiago back to La Coruna. I have tried all the sites I can think of including the ones in the pilgrim...
