These are all really great suggestions, I ended up using some combo of the recommendations on my first Camino this spring (some version of this question seems to be fairly regularly posted, and similar versions of the answers given, but usually some interesting new ideas so I read the threads...
I live in US and ordered mine from Trekkinn based on Trecile’s recommendation (thanks!) and received within about 10 days. I was never able to find one in Spain on the Norte and Primitivo, so now I have one for my next Camino!
Having just completed Santiago to Finisterre (and Muxia) in May, my recollection is that there was a fair amount of paved roads along the route and that many of the unpaved paths could possibly be covered with a stroller, but as noted there are some hilly spots. The first part of stage leaving...
I recently ordered from Trekkin (thanks to a post by trecile a week ago), on track for delivery in a few days. I've posted link below for the yellow, they also appear to have the blue...
Agree one skirt (skort with attached shorts) and one leggings, wear one while washing other. Ditch the kilt. I preferred the skort on rainy days, my legs got wet and sometimes splashed with mud, but easier to wash and dry than the leggings.
I am also a recent convert to merino and based on previous posts on this forum tried Icebreaker (t-shirts and underwear) and really liked them, found them to be less stinky (able to get 2-3 days wear on t-shirts without washing; similarly on underwear with disposable panty liners - was that...
It has two sets of Velcro straps, position one above the strap across your chest, the other below - I would guess it would work with non osprey but who knows until you try it. It has a clasp on inside to secure items - I used it for glasses pouch and a little coin pocket so neither would fall...
I found a skort (skirt with short leggings underneath) to be really helpful - mine has zippered pockets and easy to stash a phone or other things you want to reach easily. The pockets are more loose than on pants where the pockets tend to be form fitting, on the skirt they weren't attached to...
Also, I used a small pochette made by Osprey that attached to the shoulder strap of my pack so I could easily access phone, glasses, lip balm, small coin purse without having to remove my pack.
I’ve also been interested in finding the Altus but doesn’t seem available in US. It has features I like (fits over your pack, longer sleeves, not too pricey, fairly compact when folded up, etc) that I have not been able to find in local options, including at REI. It seems ideal for Camino, maybe...
Someone (on a different thread, forget which) recommended a rain kilt (ULA) as a bottom, which made sense to me because it was small (fits in an integrated pocket about size of eyeglasses case), lightweight, easy on/off since it wraps around the waist with Velcro (and you don’t need to take off...
What is the difference between boxy and wide? I have a wide feet, they look boxy to me. Everyone has their own favorites based on their own needs. I like On-Running trail shoes, light weight, nice styling, some have waterproof option, but they need to be replaced about every 400km. In the...
Hello! First time posting a question! And first time walking (Norte and Primitivo). I was able to download Wise Pilgrim, but can't find the Buen Camino [UPDATE: ok, found this, it came up as "Way of St James (Buen Camino)] or Osmand+ - are these available for iPhone?
I mostly just want to...
