    Question for DSLR users

I have my DSLR and two lenses in a Lowepro topload zoom 2 carabinered to the waistband of my pack. It is off to the side of my hips and doesn't get in the way. The front pocket is also handy for sunscreen and a few other small essentials. I know done people don't get it, but I want to record my...

How long do your shoes last?

My Keens boots I bought in early 2016 were broken in for 6 months before my first trip on the Camino France's route. They have been worn regularly since then and will be worn again in September for my second trip on Camino Fances. The soles are fine, but I replaced the inner sole on purchase...

What was in your pack when you finished?

I chucked out two sweat stained t-shirts and baseball cap. But bought two souvenir t-shirts. So no real weight difference.

    Why oh why, why, why.....

I feel your pain. I've recently had the same issue with the socks I wore in 2016. Went to get a couple of new pair and the brand doesn't exist anymore. So now I have to trail some different brands while I train. Luckily I've got 6 months to decide on a pair.

    Should or shouldn't I bring a camera (Sony a6300)?

I took my Canon 600D and 2 lenses (18-55 and 70-300 telephoto) in a Lowepro TLZ2 camera bag. The bag was then caribeenered to the waist belt of my backpack. If you're going to take a camera with you it needs to be easily accessible. The front pocket of the camera bag was also handy for carrying...

Quick phone acces when wearing tights ...

I realise it's bigger than a phone, but I have my camera bag caribeenered to the waist strap of my backpack. It came in handy for storage of my reading glasses and sunscreen too.

    I agree @Yngla, definitely monstrosity!

    After hike shoes/sandals?

I took my Teva trekking sandals for afternoons/evenings and depending on the weather could wear them with socks if I needed to. A bit daggy but who cares!

Silk sleep liners vs Cheap liners?

Silk all the way. Smaller, lighter and drys so much quicker and readily available from Kathmandu stores.

Leaving in 2 weeks and final packing question....

Thanks SY, I've got some light cotton pants for that. It was thinking of taking the thermals in case of cold early mornings, but didn't really want the hassle of trying to take them off as the day heats up. I think I'll leave them home. Buen Camino Terri
