Sea to Summit poncho - reviews?

There appears to be a considerable difference in weight between the S2S (6-ish oz.) and the TriWonder (16oz.) if that's of concern to anyone.

    Hiking Skirts

Love, love, love my Purple Rain hiking skirt.

    Z-Packs Question

I totally agree with your point about keeping the heaviest elements close to your back. My personal trainer has a fit anytime I talk about getting a pack with a trampoline back because of ergonomics. Just because other people don't do something (i.e., carry a z-packs pack) doesn't mean it's a...

Join the quest for the perfect panel loading camino pack?

A review that I saw about them stated that if you can imagine it they can make it. Why not send them a picture/description of what you're looking for and see what they say?

Join the quest for the perfect panel loading camino pack?

For the same price range as z-packs you can go to Zimmerbuilt.com and customize the pack of your dreams. They specialize in lightweight, waterproof ones. They also have some stock items similar to the non-zip packs for less than the z-packs products.

    Trail runners or hiking sandals?

When I walked the Norte last year I wore Keens (Venice H2) or Bedrock Cairn Pros the entire way and my feet were very happy. YMMV. Buen Camino

    Z-Packs Question

Do any of you own the Z-Packs Arc Blast? If so, now that you've used it for awhile do you think that it's worth paying almost twice as much for it as any other backpack? I am intrigued by the lightweight aspect as well as it being waterproof. What input do you have for someone like me who is...

    Macabi skirt - which colour

I second @Lmsundaze on the Purple Rain. Very comfortable, great pockets, only weighs 4oz. and dries quickly.

Back Pack Rain Cover AND Rain Poncho?

I found an umbrella to be of more use for shade than rain protection. The rain rarely seemed to fall straight down- usually at an angle which limited its usefulness.

    Video Drone Regulations

Thanks for the heads-up. I'll be sure to complete the Salvador-Primitivo prior to 2021.

    I'm a sandal convert!

Another sandal fan. Keens, Lunas, Bedrocks and Merrells-all have been sturdy enough to do the Camino. Can't say enough about the benefits.

For Sale/Wanted Free Pack - It's a nice one too!

@PastorCat, thank you for your concern for Camino cats. They don't seem to have as easy of a life as many of our USA cats do. A Fellow Cat Enthusiast

    Confused about Macabi Skirt

Macabre might have been good old autocorrect doing it's thing. To me it does seem more appropriate. Can't fathom walking with volumnious amounts of fabric flopping around my legs. Different strokes for different folks....

Good to know. Thanks for the reply.

    Weight-ing to Start

Like many people on this forum, I am always looking for ways to lighten the load in my backpack. Back at the time of my first Camino I remember people suggesting that I cut the labels out of my clothes as yet another way to reduce pack weight. So, my curiosity got the better of me and I...

Number of shoes to take (and underwear and other stuff...)

Personally, I would take a pair of lightweight hiking sandals instead of flip-flops. That way if your boots give you trouble you will have something else to walk in.

Silk sleep liners vs Cheap liners?

I bought my silk liner from Treksilk in VietNam. It cost $32'including shipping to the USA. That was in 2015 so it might cost more by now but still probably a bargain.

    Aarn packbags

Aarn now sells a poncho called the Water Wizard which is designed to accommodate the footprint. If you're not wearing the pack it reconfigures to fit a normal person.
