    Right quad pain, ok to push through or something to be worried about?

    I wonder if this is related to your earlier shoe issues and the blisters on the side of your feet. Perhaps trying to avoid the blister pain led to you subconsciously change your walking gait which has stressed your muscles. That being said, I am not a doctor!

    If you are planning on starting early in the morning, when it is still dark, consider attaching a reflector to your backpack to make it easier for you to be spotted by motorists. There is a lot of road walking on the Camino!

    Don't beat yourself up for not being able to spot them during an arrival inspection. They are so tiny and can literally be anywhere you can fit the edge of a credit card (I once found a nymph crawling out of a crack on my Kindle!). You will go crazy trying to prove a negative. For the future...

    I think that is part of my issue. Never having used anything for walking or day hikes I am not sure what will be useful or beneficial.

    Also a good idea to protect electronics that can't be washed or dried. Years ago I found a nymph crawling out of a crack in my Kindle. I now keep it in a Ziploc bag at all times.
