Hola
When filling your bottle also fill your gut with water.
Bring 2-3 liters and drink another 1 liter.
Should be enough in my opinion.
I hope this helps.

Hola
What season are you planning to walk?
Primitivo can be hard in the winter, but I would say it is more interesting - although much harder than the end of Norte - especially if you are tired after walking from Irun.
Buen Camino :)

Hola and thank you for the information.
It is always good to have a recent update on albergues and it sounds like you had a great walk.
How was weather? Much rain at this time of year?

Hola
I walked a Primitivo a couple of years ago in May, and the weather was mixed with some rain, some days with heavy fog and mostly spring/summer days.
Walking over the passes were the parts when there were fog or a little snow on the ground.
I used the standard three layers for clothing and...
Personally I think an emergency blanket is not needed for a May Camino.
You may want to bring one if it is during a cold and snowy winter Camino.
Regarding a whistle, this thread has an interesting information about build-in whistles in some back packs...
Hola
I think it is difficult to foresee as we are talking about the weather.
So far weather in europe this autumn seems to have been good, so if this hold up, you may have some wonderful fall colours on the trees and clear skies with sun.
Or weather may change and the whole area could be...
Hola
Gloves - yes.
You need to swing your arms as you walk to generate kinetic energy that thrust you forward.
If you have cold hands, and keep them in your jacket pockets, you will miss out on free energy ;)

There is one about 200 m from the cathedral.
Do a google map search for Oviedo.
Zoom in on the cathedral.
Do a 'search nearby' for Tourist information.

Hola
Most of Primitivo is through nature paths and woods, smaller rural areas and some larger cities.
When I walked it, the experience was one of going uphill and downhill, and not one of walking tarmac roads.
You are in for a great walk. Enjoy it.
Buen Camino,

Hola
Count me in on having a sleeping bag.
As others, I have to be warm, to be able to sleep well.
I think it differs from person to person, so one can truly only listen to ones own preferences.
Have a great Camino

Hola
I'd say plan to go when you actually feel for it instead of planning to avoid crowds.
Primitivo isn't that overcrowded and there are plenty of options to get a bed, food and such :)

Hola
Very difficult to find a spot. It would be somewhere between Oviedo and Lugo...
Best suggestion would be to extend your walk to 14 days and start in Oviedo, in my opinion.
Or walk from Lugo to Santiago and on to Muxia/Finisterra. That could make your walk easy and still spend 10 days...
Hola
I use a Spanish which is small and fine from 2010.
I don't speak much Spanish, but information was easy to extract.

Hola Polite
If I understood your threads, you have a little more than 4 weeks on a Camino.
That is enough to start in Irun and make it, via Primitivo, to Santiago.
Depends on your physical condition, but I feel I want to say go for it.
If you, on the way, feel you are short for time, just get...
