Sadly the mosquitoes! When I walked in late April this year no one. Villalon is a pretty town with a good albergue, good memories. Tomorrow to Grajal de Campos? A special albergue located inside a monumental building. Also a very good restaurant close nearby with a lovely garden. Had a lovely...

Great report! Tomorrow a beautiful walk along the canal to Tamariz. Suggest strongly to take an alternative way to Cuenca de Campos to avoid road walking. See picture.

Poor services in stage after Segovia

Thanks for the tip. I’m a member of Gronze now. Today in Tres Cantos, tomorrow to Manzanares el Real. Unfortunatley RayyRosa are not at home this weekend. The hostel La Pedriza was also fully booked this weekend by a large group juniors (contacted the hostel directly by email). Fortunately...

    Albergue query

What a heartwarming story! I’m informed at the moment Castromonte has no restaurants/bars. A small grocery is present, but closed at Sundays (the day I plan to arrive in Castromonte). Two options: carry the food and prepare a meal at the albergue or have a delicous menu del dia in Penaflor, Bar...

    Albergue query

I’m walking the Camino de Madrid in April. I was planning to stay in Peñaflor de Hornija, April 23. Because Gronze stated the albergue is closed I was considering to walk further to the albergue in Castromonte, an additional 9km. Have send just a mail to the government of Peñaflor de Hornija...

    Madrid to Sahagun

Thanks! This was not quite clear to me. And yes, the church is a visit worth. Starting Camino the Madrid mid April this year, followed by Camino del Selvador, Leon - Oviedo. Also a certificate for this camino is nice to have: the Salvadorana. Credencial for this specific certificate can be...

    Madrid to Sahagun

I know you can get a Camino de Madrid credencial at the Santiago church In Madrid. Do I understand you are able to get in Sahagun a “Camino de Madrid” certificate? Or is is this certificate a kind of CF mid-way certificate as quoted by @KinkyOne? If true what is the difference of the Camino...
