I am looking forward to hearing more. Like you, I did so much research and everything was booked for me to start the Camino Madrid on 30 April last year, but we went into lockdown here in South Africa about the 27 March. I thought that it would all be blown over by September 2020 but no such...
I start on 30 April, going as far as Leon and then am walking the Ingles. I have done the Primitivo twice and as far as I am concerned, it is the best. Do walk the Hospitales route - I have done both routes and there is no comparison IMHO
This has most likely been covered already but I cant find it. I see from Sara's vlog that she walked to Tres Cantos then caught the train back to Madrid because all other accommodation is too expensive. Johnnie Walker says that there is an albergue there but you have to be out by 6 am...
There is another new guide book on the Camino Madrid : The Camino Madrid Handbook - the REVISED and UPDATED 2020 Edition are now AVAILABLE at Barrera Books - at www.BarreraBooks.com
& at Amazon: http://bit.ly/BarreraBooksAtAmazon...
I used the WP app on the Primitivo and was very happy with it apart from one section which was out of date. I was hoping to get some feedback on the app for the Camino Madt
Has anyone used the Madrid Way App by Peregrino Online? There is a free basic one and a premium version for which you pay a nominal amount. i have had problems with buying a kindle guide from Amazon in the past so I dont want to go down that route again.

A friend of mine walked as far as Segovia and he caught a train/bus directly to Tres Cantos, rather than walking out of Madrid though industrial areas. I would be interested in what everyone else thinks about this. Is it a good idea or does one miss some great scenery? I caught the bus for...
thanks very much for your input Annie. I have walked the VF section from La Doay in Switzerland, over the St Bernards down to Aosta twice and loved it, then from San Gimignano to Rome once and from also from Lucca to Rome. It is not at all like the Camino though. The time of the year is also...
That is still on my bucket list but I walked the Primitivo this year and last year and could walk it all over again. I am so sorry that I did not walk the San Salvador first.
I am still dithering about which Camino to walk next year. My friend wants to walk the Camino Madrid and I want to walk the Invierno. Watching pilgrims' videos, the Camino Madrid looks a bit uninteresting to my mind but I have walked the Primitivo twice and loved it. Am I judging the Camino...
