    Deep Tissue Massage

Thank you, Annie, for the encouragement. Something tells me that I need to do this if I am to avoid being forced out of walking. At this point I am not sure whether or not, walking makes the problem worse (I don't think so) or if walking is my salvation. Buen Camino!

    Deep Tissue Massage

I will be walking from Figeac to Logrono for the second stage of my three stage walk from Le Puy to Santiago. The first stage taught me that I need to get periodic deep tissue massages in order to alleviate hip pain (deteriorating hip joint). Getting older sucks big time. My question - are...

    Where would you stay?

I agree with these. I stayed at La Margeride, friends stayed at Domaine du Sauvage while I walked on to Les Faux (not by choice - le Sauvage was full). I stopped for a coffee break in Le Gevaudan and thought it would be a great choice but I was walking further that day.

    Blankets

Silk liner is all I needed even though it was more than chilly at times, sometimes even that was too hot - but no worries on the Le Puy route - blankets are there for pilgrims who need them. :)

Rest day between Le Puy and Conques

I have to say that I loved Estaing, especially as there was a medieval festival on when I walked passed it. My second choice would be Espalion, a bit bigger, more to offer. So many good places to choose. For more of a campground - rustic place, Golinhac would be the best choice (Swimming pool...

best stops for planned rest days on the Le Puy route

Thanks for this valuable URL, Falcon. :) Now to do the booking. By the way, any suggestions for Le Puy? Accueil St François is already "complet." Of course the closer to the cathedral is better so as to make the walk to the cathedral in the early morning for the pilgrim mass less difficult as...

best stops for planned rest days on the Le Puy route

Hi Kitsambler. I am impressed with another suggestion for Ultreia in Moissac. If I can I will make a reservation for there for two nights (web URL anyone?). I will spend a half-day in Conques and Condom and perhaps a full day in Cahors. So many good suggestions. Thanks. :)

best stops for planned rest days on the Le Puy route

Hi all - what are your suggestions for the best stops for planned rest days on the Le Puy to SJPdP route? I am hoping to take periodic stops for some R&R along the way. So far I have considered Conques and Moissac. As well, what are your "must stay at" gites/auberges on the route from Le Puy...
