The restaurants are almost without exception afraid of the groups because of the ordering process which takes so much time so they wanted me to choose one single choice within their menu. And I did.     Yes @amsimoes , a friend of mine was returning from SdC to Madrid on foot last June on the Zamorano and he said that the markings are being repainted and there are more of them now. So he had no problem finding the way even in reverse.

    That's exactly Camino de Levante. From Zamora on it's either VdlP/CF or VdlP/Sanabres or Zamorano/Sanabres. That means the app you mentioned is useless for Levante itself.

    Oh, I didn't stop at the planned stops 100%. I never do. It's just a plan but I always have 7-10 days in reserve so I can wing it. Why walk 35k if I feel lazy on certain day or if after 12k I like that little village very much and decide to stay there and just mingle with locals :)

    True that you can stay in Avila (municipal) albergue for one night only but I tried and succeeded in persuading hospitalero to let me stay two nights (in 2015) because the albergue was empty anyway.
