Hello everyone! My name is Jim. Not new to the blog, but this is only my second post. First one was yesterday! Joined the blog back in early 2017. The blog has been a tremendous/valuable resource in preparing for our Caminos. What a fantastic virtual community. My son (Josh) and I walked the Camino Frances from SJPdP to Santiago 20 Aug to 20 Sept last year (with trip to Lourdes before and Fatima after). We felt called to try another pilgrimage this year. Planning on spending 2 days in Lourdes before catching the train to SJPdP on 17 Aug. Hope to get to Santiago sometime around 19-21 September if my knees and feet hold up again this year. Before heading back to the USA we're going to visit Fatima for 2-3 days. Hope to meet some of you on the Camino!

Hi Jim, I'm leaving SJPdP on Saturday, August 18 on my way to Santiago on September 23. Also my second Camino and my first last August/September. A bit worried about the heat. Whatever happens, let's all have a bit of fun. Hope to see you along the way. Cheers, Jimmy

Jimmy, Yes! Hope to meet you on the Camino!. We had a few hot days last year. We're early risers, started our days around 0600, and drank a lot of water. Think we saw two days of rain and three really hot days so overall the weather was wonderful. We're hoping for more of the same this year. Buen Camino, Jim

Jimmy,
How did your Camino turn out? Joshua caught a virus on the way to Carrion de los Condes so we were held up there for 2 days. Ended up getting to Santiago on the 19th. Hope you had a good Camino!

New user here. Hello to you all. New to the forum but not to the Camino. I was told about this Forum whilst I walking the lovely scenic 'Camino Norte'. I'm planning walking another in June.
Hi, A couple years ago I flew into Geneva and took a train to Laussane to begin my Francigena. Next year I would like to fly into Geneva and walk the south side - France into Aigle, Switzerland...
