I'm from Nova Scotia, Canada and I'm planning to leave Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port on April 7th. This will be my first Camino and I'm looking forward to challenge and meeting many new people. We drove through the Pyrenees last year to Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port where we stayed at an B&B in Uhart-Cize. Our hosts Rachel & Jean-Sebastien spoiled us with their great hospitality and food and we plan to see them again this year.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Are you planning on stopping at Orisson or are you walking through to Roncesvalles? The communal dinner at Orisson is wonderful and you meet many of the pilgrims who you will see over the days and weeks ahead. Hope to see you at the CCoP Halifax Chapter event March 31 so we can give you a proper send-off!

I'm hoping to stay at Orrison but it will depend on the weather. They won't take reservations for early April until they know the pass will be open. I want to keep the first days easy until I get use to the camino.
I've been to a couple of CCoP events at the Trail Shop and they have been very helpful. I'll have to have my packing very organized to make the March 31st event!
