I have just finished Medieval Irish Pilgrims to Santiago de Compostela. A review under Cambridge University Press begins: "This is an easy book to review as it was an entirely pleasurable read."
I cannot do justice to the book, as can be found in the review. I have referred to the book a few times over the last week or so, but finally was guided to this section of the forum by a moderator. This will be my final entry on the topic!
It will not be a surprise to people aware of the building blocks of our modern civilisation to read of the foundations of the routes to Santiago over the centuries, and not alone from Ireland. Routes that influenced trade and culture, and religious pilgrimage. I just leave it at this: as the reviewer quoted above said - it was an entirely pleasurable read. I did not think I would love it, but I did.

Where did you find it? I did a cursory check.of Amazon with no results. Will dig deeper.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.
