Hello to all those who have enjoyed a Camino in one form all another!
New member ..... but have enjoyed all your comments on the Forum for several years.

The time has come .... and for me it is the "road less travelled" that appeals.
Looking at 2016 ...Camino de Torres to celebrate Diego de Torres Villarroel and his 1750 camino through Portugal to Santiago from Salamanca.
Appreciate reviews from anyone out there with recent info on this route?

to all those on the road ..."Buen Camino"!

Oh great news RodlaRob! I hope you’ll take great notes to be able to share them with us. Info in English is hard to come by for this route it seems. It’s on my list too.
Cheers, grace

Well ... the time is approaching. Hitting the trail April 13th. Probably start at Cuidad Rodrigo (with just 464km to go!
I'm not so good with notes Grace ...but maybe the journey will inspire me?

Well .... it has come to be. As predicted, the time & place to commence has come together. Met with Luis Quintales (Salamanca Alumni Assoc) today for some last advice. It was he who was largely responsible for putting this Camino back on the map. He provided all the help I needed to plan stages!

Bom caminho !

I think the itinerary looks very nice, but from what I remember (and this may be out of date, so check further if this could be an issue for you), this route is entirely road walking. That is a deal breaker for me, but maybe things have changed. Would love to hear more recent information, Buen camino, Laurie

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.

Hello Laurie
Will try to update some info I the future but this is not my forte! Met with Luis Quintales yday at Salamanca Uni (who was responsible for all the GPS stage tracks). He tells me that walk is beautiful & the roads not an issue, so we shall see. Btw... weather forecast to begin ..lowsy!
